A pregnancy test is usually performed after the embryo transfer at the time recommended by the fertility clinic, often using a blood test to measure the hormone beta-hCG. Testing too early at home can produce misleading results because of the timing of implantation or fertility medicines used during treatment. It is best to follow the testing date provided by your IVF specialist.
