A mild fever can occur after some childhood vaccinations and is usually temporary. Keep your child comfortable, offer adequate fluids or feeds and monitor their temperature and overall behaviour. Do not give medicines unless advised or previously appropriately prescribed for your child. Seek medical advice if the fever is high or persistent, your child appears unusually unwell, has difficulty breathing, develops a seizure or has any other concerning symptoms.
