AMH, or anti-Müllerian hormone, is a blood test commonly used as one indicator of ovarian reserve, which refers to the remaining pool of eggs in the ovaries. It can help fertility specialists understand how the ovaries may respond to certain fertility treatments. However, AMH does not directly measure egg quality and cannot, by itself, predict whether a woman will conceive naturally. It should be interpreted alongside age, ultrasound findings and other clinical information.
