Low sperm count and reduced sperm motility can make natural conception more difficult because fewer sperm may be available or able to reach and fertilize an egg. However, semen parameters can vary, and an abnormal result does not automatically mean that pregnancy cannot occur. A fertility specialist may recommend repeating the semen analysis or performing further evaluation before discussing appropriate treatment options.
